75 mm figure from Fernando Ruiz Miniatures.
Colonel Ellsworth was one of the first union officers killed in action during the american civil war as he wanted to get down a rebel flag from a building in Alexandria, Virgiana on may, 24th 1861.

    Hi Robert

A very popular officer , sculpted in a natural pose on the piece

Like the painting , particularly the trousers , what did you use for the cost colour ?

Always good to see your modelling

Why not enter a piece into the class of your choice in the new FOTM

There's also the Vignette & Diorama comp we are running

    Thanks for sharing

    Look forward to the next

    Happy benchtime

    Hello to all,
thank You all for the good words.

For the color of the trousers I took Vallejo's Game Extra Opaque Heavy Red, mixed with a small amount of Vallejo's Game extra Opaque Heavy Violet, brightened up for the lights with a little bit of AK's new formula matt red.
The stripes were done with regular Vallejo's old brass. After all AK's penetrating red ink was used to give it a bit more contrast.

    Cheers
    Robert
