    Morning Peter

Looks like the cabinet has stepped out for an airing.

Great to see all your work in one shot too.

Hope Joe is feeling better today.

We have the snow and you get 10+C weird weather yet again.

Enjoy the painting and much better weather too

    Regards

    Hi Peter

Great to see these pieces , you know I really like the way you paint , there's a real subtle look on both highs and lows

I only paint busts and love what you've shown here ...the detail work on Hindenburg especially the medals etc , the Norman ..great wood effects on the axe handle , nice use of colur on the Roman and the knight , the camo on the US marine ...very nicely done as is the uniform colour on the Afrika one

I am going to mention the fiesh on all very nicely worked on all of what you've shared

Pleasure to see your artwork as always

Why not enter a piece in the class of your choice in the new FOTM as well as the Vignettes & Diorama competitions ....of course when you are ready

    Thanks for sharing

    Look forward to the next

    Happy benchtime

    Morning Steve.

The cabinet is now in a chaotic state, but it was good fun going through it - I even had to blow the dust of some pieces. It may be warmer here, but it's very wet and dull, really nasty weather. Joe has torn the ligament in a knee and is going in for an operation . The x-rays alone cost £500, so we're bracing ourselves, though of course he's worth it. Fortunately we've got him insured. Have a good day at work.

Very kind of you Nap. I've got a very long way to go to iron out the clumsiness and find some subtlety, but the struggle to improve is I suppose why we all do it. I'm not a competitive type I'm afraid, so won't be going near FOTM. Please forgive my not commenting on other people's threads so far - I'm still finding my way, but do intend to get fully involved.

    Peter.

Hi Peter great to see your work and may I say that each of them is very nicely painted, very tidy and smooth brushwork and also your ability to paint your way through history effectively when many of us tend to stick to a certain era, looking forward to seeing your future projects.

Wow .... that's some introduction Peter!!! Each and every one an absolute cracker. I paint busts myself but am mainly a full-figures man, so the Alpine WWII Yank and the female Russian sniper immediately caught my eye. The former I already have and I've been thinking about buying the latter. How did you find the fit and overall quality of it?

And welcome to pF of course!

    Thank you Steev.

The Life Miniatures figure was beautifully cast and the fit was almost perfect. It's well engineered so that the parts sort of stack as you paint and build them. Very highly recommended. I've also done their Brad Pitt/Fury and Max Wunsche figures, both equally joyous to work on.
