Well painted. I have reservations about the chainmail sculpt though, to be honest.

probably the reason is in the ability of whoever casted it. The master is perfect.

You're right, maybe the chain mail should have been more "natural". I am the first to recognize these things. Thanks for your appreciations Jason!

I'm not worried about the look of it ( you know what I mean) I am more worried about a bad casting line running all the way down the figure/chainmail........that's what scares me about chainmail figures. If done right/well no problem. if done wrong could be hours of clean up. I do love the look of the figure that's for sure :)

He might be a Scots knight, Brian,....doesn't it get cold up around the Trossachs ? I remember my old Mum knitting heavy string for our chainmail hauberks when we did a production of "Murder in the Cathedral " back in the early 70's. Sprayed them with silver paint, they were OK for the 5-day length of the production.
Not really relevant to this post,....your comment triggered a memory o_O

I think, that the chainmail is drybrushed with a little to much silver on the brush. There should be a wash with blackbrown ink on some places and then it looks allright.I´m waiting for the whole gang on my workbench……..:D

Normally I'm quite picky about chainmail (Pegaso's Irish knight being the benchmark) but I think in this case it's the over enlarged image that does the figure no favours.
