    Hello Planeteers !!
Today I bring something really diferent, no Uniforms, no no metal, no Blood :) for that I choose this small wonder from www.foundminiatures.com - Daniele Trovato in is best !!
Just Artistic comcept and color theory ...
I believe everybody should do something like this sometimes, to understand better how and why, each color goes to diferents places...
I explain it breefly here :

    R H 1.jpg R H 2.jpg
So easy as you can see , the Red Hood is in Harmony with the little wolf´s rag (in smaller quantity) and also the small fruits inside the basket
Also the towell of the basket is repeated in the lace of the girl, and the highlights of the wolf´s nose

    R H 3.jpg

Here whe can see the Blond hair color (ochre) repeated in the highlights of the wolf´s furr, However to work, the wolf base colour must be very dark, thats why I chose dark brown almost black - the wolf could be grey... but would lose all the magic ...

    R H 5.jpg
One detail... the face of the girl must be the lighthest color of all scene, once again I use the contrast of the wolf color to activate this
However the highlights of the "moustache" (wolf mouse) has a touch of skin color
    R H 4.jpg
Finally ....and not less important, behind whe can also see the harmony - again the blue...
and the green ofthe shirt repeated on the leaves of the basket- a small detail, green is the complementary color of Red ...again Harmony

To complete the all scene I choose a wood base from Tarrega - https://www.peanas.net/index.php - with a ginger color to fit the Red Hood.

So my Friends, one last wish...HAVE FUN !!!!!

Thank you Graham - this is more or less Basic, but ... sometimes the most obvious is what we can´t see...
I would describe it as something simple ...that works :)

Well done..low chroma for the dominant colour, then similar chroma for body..with high chroma for detail to draw the eye..chosen according to often a triad..if all three are high chroma the piece looks comic book stupid..a method used be Vermeer..as simple guide, pick three colours/hues ..use two in desaturated low chroma, muted way, one in higher ..you example works well
