This is a conversion from the Victory Miniatures Life Guard figure and RCMP horse and will be available as a kit. I hope it makes a change from the usual Household Cavalry models.

Apologies for the photography (mobile 'phone) which I think does the figure less than justice:

Here's to a Happy Xmas and a Covid free New Year (?).

Great looking kit. I am a bit of a fan of sapeurs and farriers. Sadly scale way outside the range I paint.
A significant point about the figure displayed Life Guards farriers have a black plume, unlike the other soldiers in the regiment.

Thank you. The Life Guards have the blue tunic, black plume and white sheepskin. The eagle on the left shoulder is Blues & Royals only. You could always treat yourself to a different scale for Xmas!

I have also thought of doing a RWR pioneer (https://www.rorylewis.studio/blog/1st-battalion-the-royal-welsh-regiment), but at 200mm that would be far too large for you.

Sure but as exceeded my quota this year will not be tempted. Regarding the Life Guards option one could go for either 1st or 2nd Life Guards, prior to the "amalgamation" by opting for either a black or white sheepskin and a red or blue flash cord. Only the white skin has a cloth edging though. Easy fix.

    Good references there from Martin

Hope we see painted versions from those that would buy if commercial

It will be available from Victory Miniatures. I have often written that I would love to see some of my figures painted by the master painters who post on this site. I consider my own art work to be fair but I lack the talent to take it to the next level.

Having just found this and some others by Victoria Miniatures I belive its time to give one ago.

Order will be in shortly, and I will do an SBS with fingers crossed.
