    Hi all
This is my latest completion in 54mm .It's Greek hoplite of mid archaic period .The figure is by St. George Cross miniatures with some twists .What i have changed, was scrapping off the embossed design of the shield as it would not look proper for the scale when painted and also made a new spearhead and but-cap out of milliput as the ones from the kit looked somehow thick ...It's painted mostly in acrylics except for the brass parts which are a combination of oils and AK's true metal colour..Feel free to comment and keep creating.

Great to see you posting and a really nice ancient piece as well , love the metallics on this

Freehand on the sheild is very sharply done

Nice work on the spearhead as well

Why not enter something into our FOTM comp as well as voting in previous months , we also have a Vignette and Diorama running till 1/3/21

    Thanks for sharing

Vasilis, this is a wonderfully painted figure. I really like this and will try and get hold of one, although I've not heard of that maker. The face is excellent as well. Painting a face it a helmet is always difficult. I also admire you taking off the shield design and painting your own - nearly always a better option.
    Well done.(y)

Blind Pew thank you for your time and attention at my work..The company is a Russian one named St. George Cross which has an official site to take a look at their range of figures and also make your purchases . In the link below you can see and buy this specific figure as you said you are interested in.In the photos you will see is presented as one piece but is consisted of four parts (body-legs- head on piece two separate arms and the helmets crest)..Hope that helped you.take care.
