    Hi everyone

I am wondering about about the following

    1. What sort of interest would sets of 3 of the same accessories using 3D have to members ie weapons , helmets , shields , heads etc ?

    2. What's the preferred scales 54/75/90 mm ?

    3. What periods or modelling genre would be your preferred choice ?

4.What would you consider a acceptable and realistic price for the set depending on the scale ?

IT WOULD BE APPRECISSTED IF REPLIES COULD INCLUDE AS MUCH INFORMATION AS POSSIBLE IN RESPONSE TO TGE ABOVE

I didn't do a poll as therex are a lot of questions !!

    Thank you

    Happy commenting

    Hands pleaseeeeeeeee! No competition.
One of the hardest things to scratch build. So useful for conversions and scratch building.
Say a set of 6 in various positions (three right and three left) in 200mm (1/9th ) scale for £10.00. I believe this would in terms of cost compare with the heads and weapons from Reedees for example.

A set of hands for 1:16 / 120mm. The only one which was available was from verlinden ...
Price question is good but depends on the number of hands and the quality.
And time period would be ww2 - now. Maybe some neutral ones without guns etc or some special sets with us / german / russian weapons / maps / water bottles etc etc.

1 considering that there are many hands and heads on the market, I would make a set of heads for horses with "character"
but also firearms (pistols, particular rifles not currently on the market, especially post Napoleonic)
Interesting could be everyday objects of furniture (bottles, plates, pots, groceries, farm and workshop tools ... things like that) but I think they are not strongly requested

    2 54 mm

    3 from 1700 to 1899 basically Napoleonic

4 depends. market price from 5 to 10 euros

Having said that I believe there is a shortage of any type of accessory for scales 75mm and above

I would welcome horse heads with Napoleonic hussar head harness and or Mameluke head harnesss. Also various types of kettledrum pairs especially for Victorian or preWWI Germanic troops.
Sets of medieval suits of plate armour. All in 1/30 scale.

    Hi Jai,
if you believe there are lots of hands on the market, I’d be more than grateful if you could recommend some in 1/9th scale please.
Perhaps even a link to a supplier?

Hands as well please, in 1/16, 75mm and 54mm.

And since we are talking 3D prints, there are some great opportunities:
    - no need to make sets, because they are produced piece by piece anyway. Pick hands from a catalogue, and you get exactly the ones you need.
    - no need for fixed scales...one can order the hand in absolute size (say in mm), very useful given all different ‘54mm’ sizes.

And heads in absolute scale as well please.

Buckles, clamps and rifle slings please.

    Machinegun belts.

Roman helmets (with or without head).

If quality is good and if it saves me time I’ll pay (reasonably) anything.... :)

Tricky one to answer given everyone has their favourite period and scale so initially I'd suggest things that had possible uses in several era's or a wide range of figures such as buckles, buttons and clasps which can be tricky to make and can be adapted easily to suit different periods. (Historex have come to my rescue on several occasions)

I'd personally welcome 17th century weapons and maybe a set of ancient weapons/helmets. (Both can be adapted from kits or current accessories, but are a bit of a pain to do so)

Scale-wise I favour 54's and the odd 75mm. Price, as Adrian says, isn't too much of an issue - if it saves time and is good quality I'll probably buy it.
    Cheers

Anything in 90mm, a much neglected area these days. I've always worked in this scale and am too old to change now.

I'd like to see some more WW1 trench section bits in 70-75mm. I know Model Cellar do a couple for their Poilus circa 1916, but haven't seen any others. Look, I'm know I should scratch -build them, but I'll confess to wanting an easy way out.....:D

Those of you who, like me, wanted to see sets of hands produced may have missed (I certainly did) a thread by fellow member gpldsl of Scientific Models in the “Tools of the Trade/Accessories “ forum of sets of hands available. Although the sets are advertised in specific scales they can be printed in any scale to customer’s requirements. I know because I had some printed in 1/9 scale and they are superb. The service provided was exceptional.
So if you need hands in any scale ..........pm gpldsl !!!

    Hi gpldsl,

MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS in 1/32 or 1/30 scale. All sorts of brass horns. That would fill a huge gap.
