Recently I've noticed painters have had some pretty impressive results assembling and painting Masterbox kits. I've been wanting to get back into painting again, so given their reasonable price, I bought a few of their kits. I have a couple of questions.
First, sizewise, are they close in scale to other 54mm figures, in case I get real energetic and build a small diorama?
Second, which is the best glue to use for their assembly? 5 minute epoxy or some type of superglue? Since they look to be plastic, what about the model glue we used as kids to build model cars or planes?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

I would use Tamiya...has a brush as part of the cap as a bonus.

Yes, for styrene, use styrene cement, not CA or epoxy. Using a styrene cement will weld the parts together, not just hold them together, as cyanoacrylate or epoxy glues do.

I'll second Ron's advice on Tamiya's liquid cement for styrene. I use the extra-fine. It flows into joints very easily and bonds well. And the applicator brush allows more precise work.

When I moved from using styrene tube cement (ie, Testors), I first used Plastruct's Weldene and Bondene. They worked pretty well, too, but the applicator brushes that came with the bottles delivered a little too much glue at one time.

I also have used Testors liquid cement, which comes in a black plastic five-sided bottle, with a long applicator tip attached. It's OK, but again, I find Tamiya's more precise in the application.

To attach parts of unlike materials, like attaching resin or PE bits to styrene, or to attach resin to resin, or metal to metal, then I'll use CA or a 2-part epoxy.

    Hope that helps, prosit!

Many thanks to you guys for the advice. Don't think I have that on hand here so I'll take a trip to the local hobby store this week.
