    Hi Guys,

My next project under way. A short range of 3 busts from the Restoration era 1660 - 1700. They will be General officer, Sedgemoor, Trooper, 1st Troop Horse Guards, Sedgemoor and Garrison officer, Tangier. Milliput and Duro over resin dollies, 1/12 scale, approx, still a very long way to go with lace, ribbons and wigs...

Loosely based on pics in the Osprey book, "The British Army, 1660-1704"

    Thanks for looking(y)

    Hi Steve

Always good to see your sculpting and from a neglected period of history IMO

They all will look great I am sure ...the General Officer with a wig perhaps ? .....that should be a chalkenge to sculpt

Even at this stage the faces have character

Off to have a look at the Osprey book

Look forward to seeing more putty added

    Happy sculpting

Great start! Will be following it. As I understand, it should be Restoration, not Reformation.

    Good luck with your project!

Cheers Rob - I stayed with friends who owned a small pottery near there some years ago and we've driven past it on numerous occasions - very atmospheric, especially in the mist...!(y)

    Hi Steve

Looking great , really nice work on those wigs and hair .....these are on my radar and want list once commercial ...all being well

How long did that wigs/ hair take ?

It's really good to see such a period being done as well .....sadly neglected

    Thanks for sharing

    Happy benchtime

Thanks Tigerdio and Kev! The detailing takes as long as it takes, Kev. Difficult to quantify, but its a case of working it till it looks right, then stop!....Oh and using my former industrial experience and making a bespoke tool for the job! (y)

I have to echo that. I like the sculpting overall but I'm especially impressed by the wigs.
