I thought I’d have a go at copying some of the great box art on an injection styrene kit

    Nosferatu by Monarch Models 3820EBA4-1A75-49AC-B8C9-B8C07146A23C.jpeg 085D2441-7C6D-4B78-8065-48943D661609.jpeg 937E459A-82CE-4664-807B-C7CEC6CEAA90.jpeg

    And the original box art.

    Hi there

    Good to see you posting

That's very clever painting and very close to the box artwork

    Are you using Acrylics ?

Good to see a injection kit here and one so well painted

Why not enter FOTM with a piece

    Thanks for sharing

Look forward to more from your bench

Monarch models produced these kits about 8 years ago....there coming out with "thefly" after a long hiatus....great company that patterned itself after the great Aurora models of the 60s and 70s .....Aurora got me starting in the building and painting of model kits way back when.......good stuff and memories with dad.....jim

Yes. The Fly is on the way.

I might know more about that but I’m not allowed to say!!!

    Thanks

All acrylic. Blending and layering. Takes ages at this scale.

Yes why not add “Injection models” They tend to get ignored.

I’m trying to paint everything in this style now. Lots of light sources. It makes a lot of extra work. Don’t know why I do it!!!

This kit was a partial build I bought cheap off Ebay a year ago. I painted done if it. Shelved it and then decided to restart it a few weeks ago.

That would be the Forgotten Prisoner. I made one of those a few years ago. I’m going to do another one very soon with a similar technique used with Nosferatu. Not too happy with this one
