Very early days at the moment with this conversion, as much as I liked the Stormtroopers 1/6 Probyn's horse bust, I just kept thinking about what Nap/Kev said here on PF about what this bust would look like with the Officers helmet on rather than the turban, maybe madness I know as he looks great with the turban but curiosity got the better of me so out came the dremel, before I knew it he had acquired a bald head and lost his turban along with his earholes!

So...very early days at the moment with a new pair of ears sculpted and the very basic shape of the helmet and a long way still to go with a "bit" of sanding down to get through, I thought I'd post this up here on PF to see what you good folks thought.
    Cheers

That must have created a whole load of resin dust, Jim. I admire your courage in undertaking such radical surgery.

Hi Richard & Mike...Yeah I was thinking what the FK am I doing during the grinding down of the turban, still once started there's no going back.
To control the dust I use a vacuum cleaner nozzle close up to the bust whilst grinding the resin, plus a good quality full on dust mask, it seems to work.
    Thanks for your comments

Looks really interesting, I too think the helmet will add a new dimension to the bust.

My view is those helmets were the dogs.

    Hi jumbo

'Ere it' was only a passing comment about a helmet ....lol

This is going to be interesting as it progresses , certainly going to add another dimension to the bust

Good start ...looking forward to seeing more

I would like to point out a couple of things ......your windows need cleaning and the fence needs painting ......

...and you can take the mask off now .......and clean the Hoover out ....

    Happy sculpting mate

Don't forget to paint it as well

Super work Jim I did wonder if you might have a go at the helmet version after your "mate" mentioned it.

How about continuing and make a whole figure like the painting??

    Cheers

Yes it would be good if Bugle goes ahead but I do have my doubts, as I fear that a second spike is on its way after all the idiots that have been massing at the coast as if it's all over. Just hope I am wrong.

    Cheers mate and stay safe.

As far as I am aware Bob Orr thinks it will happen but obviously that will depend on the schools policy and the situation

I won't be sending invites out till late July/early August

Will update as soon as a decision made
