I thins that the question is if we have to made historical discussion... often there are fragrant mistakes on beautiful figures.

sometime I tried to explain them but I read some disappoint, not some interest.

most of the time I'm doing like Virgil with Dante... "Look and pass by and don't mind them" from the divine comedy.

It is a beautiful piece of sculpting.......if you don't like to portray it as Historical then paint it as a Fantasy piece if it pleases you.....does it really matter........enjoy the painting.

Thank you to Luc, Ivo and others for pointing out and indeed clarifying the problem with the Historical element and I am sure we can all agree that it seems it was only worn for a very brief moment in History.

Mike's company produces some wonderful busts, this ranks among them and hopefully will prove very popular. The story I think adds to the interest.

I would like to add that this is a World wide forum and although the text is always English sometimes the nuances of language, google translator etc have an affect on the intended tone of the writer, we should in my opinion be prepared to take that into account in our responses.........let's all stay friends we all have the same interests at heart.

I try to be really far from made empty critics and i always try to be polite in my way to explain.
I had experiences for years with figurinitaly forum and I understand perfectly the difference between words written and told. i repete... apologize if somebody misunderstand my intention and words

Exceptionally I will use French, translate with Google or other online translator, this to give my feeling!
Avec Ivo, nous n'avons jamais voulu critiquer le buste, merveilleusement sculpté. Cependant les qualité de ce forum depuis que je le fréquente, est :
- Respectueux des opinions des autres (si celle-ci ne sont pas vulgaires et pour dénigrer
- Un espace d'échange d'information et également de partage des connaissances historiques
Avec Ivo, nous n'avons pas voulu jouer au grand professeur qui sait tout (il y en as beaucoup en ce moment sur un certain sujet), simplement nous avons voulu faire partager une information en notre possession. Information vérifiée (rare en cette période sur divers autres sujets), voilà, c'est tout !
Devant la levée de bouclier, je présente mes plus plates excuses et comme un bon mouton, suivrait le troupeau.
Mes informations et ma doc à partager continuerons à prendre la poussière !
