Ok so ... from Paulo to Paul , there is no dumb questions ...

The Mitznefet breaks up the shape of a helmet and makes it considerably more difficult to spot from a distance. In a natural landscape, an IDF or MICH helmet’s perfectly round dome sticks out like a sore thumb and the less lines an enemy marksman has to attach crosshairs to, the better.
The wordMitznefetactually comes from the name of the headgear that was worn by the Jewish High Priest in the Holy Temple in Jerusalem.

I will poison him a little bit ...:sneaky:
The reality is that I also believe that would be nice to see a "bigger" Figure, or a Bust, with this kind of subjects - I mean a U:S Marine in Panamá - a Iraqui Republican Guard - Australian SAS in Vietnam - Vietcong soldier - why not ?? I love many Figures /subjects in 1/35 but I would shorely apreciate if there was in 75 mm or 120 mm... and my eyes too

As the only (?) Israeli here, it's nice to see rare IDF subjects. Paulo's explanation is largely correct, but I would like to add few things:
Mitznefet translates also more or less to "bonnet" and indeed it is used to break the regular, un-natural shape of the hekmet. I used to have one during my service in an infantry battalion of the Golani Brigade. I can look for it at home and take a picture for you.

Another thing: Red shoes are worn only by some infantry units, black shoes are worn by the rest. If anyone here wants to paint an IDF soldier in field uniforms (dress uniforms of course have many other unique unit characteristrics) and is unsure of the proper shoe color, please don't hesitate to ask.

Hi Benny - Great that you post your opinion !! It´s allways good to have a commentary from someone that was inside - for example I was in the Portuguese Marines and many things are diferent (private equipmment, changes in the equipmment, and also some units have exclusive equip. just for trial )

What you said about Red boots it´s a question I had long time agoo ! is there a special reason ??

I will shorely ask you some things and I would like to know if you can share some pics also.

I Admire the IDF for it´s strenght ans History !!!
