Hello all, working on.a pegaso 75mm....using Ca zap thin glue.... I'm out of epoxy sometimes I use the gorilla glue one but not really for my models I'll use epoxy more for attaching bases to the wood base....anyway.
.just gluing in a short arm it just seems that theres no immediate grip I need to hold or once I take my hands off it falls ....just very frustrating....please help with a glue that you folks reccomend....thanks jim

I would get one with a pump sprayer not aerosol. That way you have the option of applying a small amount with brush as well as spraying . You apply the accelerator to one piece and glue to the second. Sometimes you can join the pieces with glue and spray them while held together. The bond is almost instant. From experience though accelerated glue is more brittle than dried glue without any. I don’t use it if the pieces bond well on their own. And yah I can’t think of too many things more frustrating than holding pieces together for a long time just too see them fall off when I take my hand away.

Try pinning the arm to torso as well....I use metal paper clips. It's not too difficult to line up the two items with care. It also gives the glue more area to stick to.(y)

I pin everything now.. and always use epoxy 24 hours if possible, if not the 5 or 30 min kind

I pin and use cyano not epoxy. A half metre length of cable provides a couple of thinnish copper rods and a thick one.

Araldite Rapid works when all else fails, but you need to be comfortable and able to hold the pieces together.
It's bailed me out more than once in the past.

I pin and use a 5-minute, 2-part epoxy for such joins. I use CA only for fixing smaller things to a figure. No accelerator-I used some in the past, but found it was easier just to get a brand that was labeled as quick-drying. The ones I've used are all Bob Smith products, regardless of the merchant's label on the bottles.

    Prost!

I use JB weld original epoxy for resin and white metal kits and also Carr's low melt solder for most white metal kits
Check out these video which glue is the best.

    Cheers,

Just a thought maybe scruff the joining pieces up a bit give them a little bite for the glue to work
