Here are some pics of a 1/32 RFC pilot who is reading a letter he has received. He sits on the wheel of his aircraft. This will be a release from Elan13 Miniatures in the future. Those who know me know how much I love leaving my sculpting tools to one side and blowing the dust off the paint brushes However, in these hard times needs must.
The first pics are the figure in its raw resin state fixed to its base, which has a cover black Milliput groundwork. (The observant amongst you will have seen that the wheel chock doesn't fit fully on the base, but dear reader this is not a competition piece but a box art so that won't be seen in the photos and will fit on the trade stand which is getting rather crowded.)
More to follow, when I can find the pliers to prize the tops off the tubes of oil paint.

Very nicely posed. WW1 was the first war where virtually all the British combatants were literate and letters to and from the front were such an important part of maintaining morale.
