New Line from Master Box.

This set opens a new series of kits, devoted to a completely new subject for Masterbox - the history of the United States in the 18th century, the subject devoted to the Forest Indians and to the events of the Fourth French and Indian War of the mid-18th century.

It is planned that this series will consist of five kits that will show Rogers’ Raiders, Red coat (British soldiers and officers) and also French soldiers.

The first kit consists of four figures of Indian warriors who formed a protective circle around their wounded comrade.

Great subject and lots of possibilities for customizing. Wish they were a little larger than 1/35 though Eager to see what else is in the series!

I've not tried any Masterbox figures yet, but a careful examination of a couple of sets a chum bought convinced me that they have an excellent level of detail and I'll be buying a few later this year as soon as I can lay my hands on them

This is a very nice set and I may need to pick them up. One criticism. They are carrying 19th century weapons (cap and ball) instead of flintlock muskets of rifles.

Thank for the news ! I really like their creation because their plastic print is very good.

Looks like a great series of figures and although 1/35 scale is popular with ww2 AFV modelers it would have been nice if this new series had of been produced in 75mm which seems to be the new popular scale for figure modelers, I suppose its all down to costs and what will sell quickly, so having said this there are painters out there who will do an amazing job on these and no doubt we will see some fantastic dioramas in the future.

I have several MB set amongst my GA: quality and subjects always seem good (many are 'tell a story' groupings, often based on paintings or photos)... who knows, one day I may get around to building them

Often available at good prices on Amazon ans eBay but shop around as prices can vary a lot.

I had good service when I complained about a duff horse moulding on their cuirassier... out of production but they hunted around and replaced the entire kit (takes me back to those little complaints slips in Airfix kits but then you just got the missing/damaged item back, however small)

Thanks Miro, I was wondering if the group came from somewhere (tho' they've added a figure).

MB do really well adapting existing print/painting/photo scenarios: make great and dramatic 'story' vignettes as that's how they were designed in the first place.
