    Hello Folks

These are preliminary pics of a 3d sculpted project I have ongoing at the moment. It is the first of a pair which represents the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders during the Aden Emergency in the 1960's. The first kit depicts 'Mad Mitch' commanding officer of the regiment at the time. A 'no - nonsense' military commander and quite a controversial character.

Many thanks to Scotty Milroy for the advice and references for the figures.
I will post further details once the second figure is available.
This is the 120mm version but other scales may be added later.

I should point out that although I have been accused of a similar mental condition in the past he is no relation to me.

    Cheers
    Gordon

Whilst I have no knowledge of the subject, I do appreciate a quality figure when I see one. Very well executed figure of a forgotten conflict. Painting the checkerboard may be challenging.

The rendering of the '58 Pattern belt & pistol holster look perfect, excellent figure.

    (y) Those of us whose memories can stretch back that far will probably remember the stirring sights and the skirl of the pipes as Mitchell ,at the forefront of the Argylls, rode his scout car into Aden and took back control without, I believe, firing a shot.

A great character who cared more about the welfare of his men than what the politicians of the time wanted or expected from him .
