King's Lifeguard Standardbearer

Discussion in 'Completed Figures' started by BULL, Jan 11, 2020.

  1. BULL A Fixture

And I am here with my latest work.
It is a conversion of an Elan13 54mm.
Represents a standard bearer of King's Lifeguard, Lt. Col. Company
Initially I thought of redoing only a few details, but then along the way I realized that I was doing much more details than expected.
I hope you like it, as always

Fantastic painting Enrico! As others have said, shading and highlighting are superb. Is it primarily acrylics?

    A beautiful figure! (y)

Beautiful! What did the original figure look like?
  17. BULL A Fixture

thank you all for the comments, I'm glad you like the subject.
As usual I painted everything in acrylic, including the flag.
I am only sorry for the quality of the photos which in this dimension make the painting very grainy

    Hi Bull

Catching up on threads ..life gets in the way!!!

Really like the conversion of Robs figure , like the reds and the buff cost ...groundwork really good as we see in all your pieces

If I ever did figures with legs Robs releases would be on my radar for sure

Why not enter something into FOTM and also vote in the previous month

    Thanks for sharing

    Look forward to your next

    Happy benchtime

    Hi Chazzman

I think this was the original ( Rob has a couple of other nice colour bearers as well in his range )

    Nap is exactly that piece.
At the original figure I replaced the boots which were carved entirely new, and then I decided to expand the pleats of the pants.
The head has been replaced with one from my range, to which hair, beard and mustache all sculpted in putty have been added.
The hat was modeled starting from a lead disc, observing photos of re-enactors to take inspiration and dimensions.
The replacement of the head then forced to regrown a new collar of the shirt and the metal ruff below.
Obviously, the flag was also modeled with a sheet of putty obtained from a mix of Magic Sculpt + Duro, all fixed on a brass rod of the right diameter. IMG_20191015_231455.jpg
