Extraordinary work, the dark, the warmness of the fire, the castle, all works together so well, really cool scene. The light effect projected rom the fire is excellent, I love it.

Fantastic lighting effect... a real trompe l'oeil

I'd love to see what it looks like in the 'cold light of day' to better understand what is painted and what are camera lighting highlights?

Great idea and nice work on building the castle section, looks great, figures look like they were made for this scene.

Nap, Thank you for your suggestion. I will definitely use it.

    - " I'd love to see what it looks like in the 'cold light of day' to better understand what is painted and what are camera lighting highlights?"

All shadows from the figures are drawn.
Extra light was set high on top.
If there is light from the sun, then new shadows will appear.

    Thanks for your reply.

So, the firelight effects are painted but, as I guessed, down-lighting produced the 'moonlight' highlights on the roof, upper edges of the stone, helmets/halberd?

Stunning work, a very artistic way of presenting the figures and such imaginative portrayals always stand out from the crowd.

Yes. In the story, the moon shines from above.
