From October 18 (30), a helmet for heavy cavalry was confirmed (hereinafter all dates in the old style, 12 for modern calendar).
    каска 06.jpg

From April 1802 to 1808, the main color of the saddlecloth was in the color of the collar and cuffs of the uniform, and the border, edging and monograms in the color of the uniform buttons, i.e. white or yellow. But from February 21, 1808, all the dragoon regiments were ordered to wear new-style saddlecloth - dark-green cloth with borders, edgings and monograms to match the color of the collar and cuffs.

Since November 26, a new model helmet has been ordered in the regiments of heavy cavalry and horse artillery, with a flat plume and crest of a slightly different design. Only officers were left with the helmets of the old type (which were used by them until 1811), but only for parades, the rest of the time they were obliged to wear helmets of a new type, i.e. with flat plume.

White breeches and boots were for parades, gray leggings (reituzy) for military campaigns and as everyday.

    P.S:
An interesting sculpt, but alas, not without obvious mistakes in uniform and horse saddle and bridle.

In this age of the 75mm bombardment (excellent figures but to wee for me) its good to see this 90mm figure and horse release from Bonaparte MM, Alan Ball has created a really nice sculpt that will look very impressive when painted and sit comfortably along side timeless classics from Poste Militaire etc.

Great piece and super subject, particularly with the added detail of the standard. Love the Bonaparte range for the fact they produce these figures from the less represented countries.
