    Hi every one!

Its been a while since I have posted here, been busy with my new house and new hobby room.

I am planning to start casting figures witch are 3d modeled by Sanix 3d design. Before you guys all think about copy right, I have asked him if it is allowed to print and then make molds to sell copy's of his figures.

    He reply with:
    Hello Ron
    Yes, you are right!
You can sell the model already printed, this is written in the license in point 1.7
    With respect, SANIX

Now I am casting models for 6 years now using pressure pots and vacuum chambers so the quality is professional and neat. Also I have a SLA 3d printer witch can print at layer height of 0.025 giving allot of crisp detail.

So if you need a model printed and cast you can contact me at Ronsfigures@gmail.com

Here on this website you can see the things I have already made and cast:

So my question to you guys is would you be interested in this print in resin? let me know in the tread so I can judge if its worth printing and make molds en resin copy's of it.

The head can be 12 cm printed at 60% I could also slice the base off to make the head a little bigger. Price per head has to be determent once I know how many are interested and what the cost of Silicone and resin is.

As I type this I am printing out his predator with base, plants and tree for myself. I could also make molds of that one if there is enough interest.
Keep in mind it will not be cheap because of the amount of silicone and resin needed!

The Figure is 23 cm tall so its a large one, only have to make the dreadlocks as a separate since it cant be cast as is.

My next project for my self is his alien.

So guys I hope you like it let me know what you think!

    Kind regards Ron

If you could make predator and alien into busts, you'd probably sell quite a few. The predator scene in 75mm would be tempting... no cash for it at the moment (if it were possible), but tempting nonetheless.

Would be very interested in a 'Predator' bust with helmet dependent on cost?

You might want to check with a lawyer and make sure that he doesn't mean that you can re-sell the one you bought from him-"already printed". What he wrote doesn't sound like a license to print copies of his work.

This is what I have mailed him:
    Hi,
I finally got my SLA printer and now printing your nice predator 28 cm.
Just to be sure and clear about this:
I am printing the model as we speak and then I plan to make some adjustments to the dreads and then make molds for it to cast it in resin. Then I would like to sell these copies to people that are interested in them and don't have a printer.
Reading your license if I have understood it correctly I am allowed to do that right?
The only thing that is not allowed is to sell or give away the files you sent right?
    Regards Ron Kootje
And this is what he replied with:
    Hello Ron
    Yes, you are right!
You can sell the model already printed, this is written in the license in point 1.7
    With respect, SANIX
So I am not buying printed figures of him but just the STL file.

I'd still show it to an attorney and ask his opinion, if I were you, just to cover yourself.

Would you build an addition on your house without first checking local building codes or ordinances?

@ The baron thank you for your pointing this out.

I again have mailed him with the specific question just to make sure, saying:

And I can also make a silicone mold of that print and cast it in resin to sell copies of the printed model?
    Kind regards Ron

    And his reply was

    Hi Ron
    Yes , you can !
    Regards , SANIX

So I am quite sure that I am alloud to do this, no need to get a lawyer making extra cost for somthing I have in black and white in my mail box.
