I don't know how many members are aware of this option which means you can ignore a particular members response. This means you won't receive anything from a members response that you dislike for whatever reason. To me this is the absolute dumbest thing that has ever been implemented on PF. This is purely for wimps and weak individuals who can't solve problems in other ways or they flat out don't have any hair on their ass........I say we to eliminate this option.

I was unaware as l am sure sure are many others that this existed. I can't think of any situation where l might use it but if others choose to l don't see a problem. There may be modellers out there with mental health issues who enjoy the forum but prefer to stay in the shadows.

Obviously this doesn't apply to a hairy assed guy like yourself.

Cheers Felix ...thread by Wayne !!!

    From that my post

    Hi guys

    Details on the ignore button

The ignore option is just part of the software we use to run the forum. It can't be removed.

With the ignore button, members can continue with the forum without seeing each other's posts if they so wish

Personally I find the option quite useful. I use it sometimes to save myself the tedium of one or two bullies who
can't express their views with polite and reasonable debate, but instead resort to rancid and rather unpleasant
personal attacks. Whether this reflects my sensitivity or the hirsuteness of my rear end, I'm afraid I can't say.
( I also use a sound device in the car that blows a raspberry whenever some idiot carves me up or behaves badly
on the road..... Now there's a thought, perhaps we could replace the ignore button with something similar )

I find it quite handy. It 'tidies' up the site for me and prevents being distracted and drawn into pointless debate.
Personally I couldn't care less if anyone is ignoring me.

Seems to me a tough guy should be able to handle the presence of an ignore button without resorting to name-calling.

And by the way, your post proves the necessity of the ignore button, so reasonable people can ignore the trolls.

I only once felt the need to ignore a member ( a green hoppy creature) who has since removed himself and stopped his obnoxious posts.
I do wonder why some people have to be so confrontational.
I also feel this OP was only posted to incite argument.

Well, my fellow miniature painters....By the saving grace of time to adjust my thoughts, I find myself in a position to "apologize to all" for posting this thread. I actually don't know what tripped my trigger to bring this up again. I guess we never stop learning lessons.
    Best Regards to all,

I get your point BMB...….Unfortunately, I think there is a 48hr. cutoff limit to adjust your thinking and hit the "delete". I missed the cutoff and quickly became an asshole...………….And here is the lesson for today.
