havnt posted since the end of july, due to my looking after my parents, but i have managed some time back at the bench, and i began with the 2 French line lancers,i always paint from top to bottom when painting busts,i just find it easier that way,ive started on the crested lancer helmets,i just need to do some final touches with the peaks and rims, and then ill be happy, made a start on the flesh, these are about 90% finished now, apart from some little touches to finish off.
Ive added some acrylic base coats of red and green, which I will work on with the final oils, gauntlets, crossbelt and waistbelt will be done altogether, the raisedright arm which I re-sculpted,ive added some epaulettes with magic-sculp.
Due to my parents ill health and being admiited into hospital and then doing some care work at home has left me with limited modeling time, but i will endevour to keep up with the posts and not leave them too long in the future, thank you for your understanding.

Watching this one Brian and loving it. The metals are really good and look tarnished as they would.
    Absolutely superb.

    Hello Brian,
I love this project and thought about to do this scene for some years. Like to see your version.
How did you paint the gold/ brass helmet? It works good!
