My question is which of the dozens of Michael Wittmann figures on the market can you recommend?
The favorite posture would be standing like the british tanker (for me he looks like Monty).
And do you guys have an idea what I could use as socle for the turrets / ground where they are standing?

Its projected that each guy stands on his turret.

    Thanks in advantage.

Thanks for the tipps. There are so many wittmann figures:

    Kirin 2 versions
    Dragon 1 version
    Alpine 1 version
    Verlinden 1 version
    and maybe some more ...
    very hard to decide ^^

The issue will be (with the Kirin figs) is if you can find them, since they are long OOP. The Dragon Wittmann ("German Tank Ace") figure is a plastic version of the Kirin Standing Wittman from the Wittmann and Woll kit, and is actually really good and pretty easy to find. Alpine is good as well, though personally I think Dragon/DML captures his likeness just a little better. The Verlinden kit is...OK for what it is.

Here is the Dragon kit on e-bay:

    Hi Patrick,
for your information some pictures of the head sculpts and the likeness to Wittmann:
Mike Good sculpted the Alpine figure and the Kirin/Dragon figure...

IMHO the Alpine figure shows a very good likeness to the real character - it is just the Alpine-boxart that is somewhat misleading.
The first two attachments show the unpainted master of Alpine, followed by the boxart of Kirin/Dragon and images of the real man.
    Cheers, Martin

Thank you martin. I found the Dragon one in the stash. I hope I will get the alpine one for a decent price.

Removed all the old glue, fixed the hole and primed in tamiya light gray.

The Wittmann figure is also on his way. Maybe I will paint the turret next or start working on the tiger turret.

BTW, if you wanted to have the hatches open on the Cromwell turret, there is a 1/16 Cromwell cupola available on Shapeways that has separate hatches.

Thanks mate. I already know that shapeways shop. There could I also get replace for the 1 missing rivet. But the closed hatches are ok (for a RC model it would be nice).
