Fantastic work Offo on a really interesting subject. As Nap says, the SBS is going to be really interesting and can’t wait to see what you’ve got planned Martin to texture the pig skin.

The Eindhoven show gave me the last motivation boost to turn me on to my figure project again!

    So let's get started!

I have decided to start with the pig, which I have christened "Schnitzel"...:

"Schnitzel" begins his career with a cleansing bath in the ultrasonic machine, which gently removes fats and other residues...:

While the machine is doing its job, I have time to take a closer look at such a piglet:

At first glance, they look naked and rosy - but they are not! Just a few days after birth, the rosy skin is almost completely covered with bristles, which play much more ocher in color than the skin itself...:

Completely hairless are only the "outlet" and parts of the ears inside...:

I want to make these bristles today - which is a case for Jo Sonja's texture paste!

"Schnitzel" is first attached to a cork with double-sided adhesive tape ...

... and then with the texture paste and different brushes the coat of the little one is sculpted ...

... whereby I make sure to follow the "stroke" of the original and do not forget the "vertex" on the back ...:

And a special feature at the end:

Many piglets have extra long bristles on the bridge of the nose right up to the ears, a kind of "tuft" ...:

Such a tuft "Schnitzel" also gets...:

    The first steps are gone...

    Cheers
