Hello everyone, this is one of my last jobs with Zbrush, a soldier of the Spanish civil war. The figure will be printed in 60mm and will be part of the collection of my brand Arcabuz dedicated to the Spanish Civil War.

Yes that is a possibility but now it is not in my immediate plans. Now I'm going to do all (or almost all) of my figures with preorder and I would only do it with about 30 requests.

This is the painted figure. The scale is 60mm in a limited edition. The copies are in resin.

The Spanish Civil War has been much neglected by figure manufacturers, and this one looks a cracker. I'll definitely take one ... as long as the price & shipping are sensible. What are you looking for? I think guys need to know this before they commit to signing up.

Sight of the actual resin parts would be welcome too.

Hello, all the copies I have made are already reserved. I don't know if in the future I will do more.

Well in that case, why bother coming back this morning to advertise it again with the finished painted piece? :(

Makes no sense at all, unless you're doing a "this is what you could have had" kind of deal.

Well, if I had copies of this figure to sell I would have put this message in the news forum, I just wanted to show the final result of a digitally modeled figure. I regret that this was not understood.

Excellent sculpting, pose, choice of subject, etc. Maybe a B- on marketing and confusion about whether you were offering it for sale. Like several others I remain interested in your next offering. You probably don't need them, but some ideas...

    All the best,
    Dan

Thank you very much Dan. It is possible that there is confusion in the marketing of my figures, in fact I no longer announce them in the news forum, on some occasion someone has put them but it was not me. Some time ago I decided to open a subscription of the figures that I am announcing on Facebook and I only make copies for those who request them. I am not a big company and I cannot keep stock of my figures, although I usually make some more copies in case I attend a modeling event.

I am happy with this way of doing it, I know my clients and I try to maintain a good relationship of mutual trust, and offer some figures with a good quality vs. price.
I also do modeling commissions for associations and companies and that makes my production of figures discontinuous.

Of course anyone can contact me via email if they are interested in the figures I do.

Thank you Rafa for the clarification of your business model, and I get that as a one-man-band you're going to have limited production & inventory capacity.

It's a pity that you appear to rely so heavily on Facebook though, because not everyone has (or wants to have) a Facebook account, which makes it harder to keep track of what you're doing. So it's disappointing for non-Facebookers to find out that they've missed the bus when they didn't even know that the bus was running!

E-mailing you to ask is all well & good, but a bit of a hassle for both parties - for potential buyers having to keep doing it on the off-chance that something might be available, and (I would imagine) for you being constantly bombarded with mails asking what might be available. Unless of course you have a mailing list to keep guys informed?

Steve, you're right in what you say, I'm aware that this model greatly limits the ability to reach more people, but I prefer to grow little by little. If I cannot properly attend to my work and clients, I am doing it wrong.
On the other hand, I am not very clear on which PF forum I could put my future projects without generating the confusion that has now been generated.

Rafa, I don't think it matters too much whether you put your projects on this forum, the Figure News forum or the Completed Figures forum, as long as you are clear from the beginning about the issue of availability (i.e. available as a limited run of XX figures on a "first-come-first-served" basis / sold out and not (currently) available / special one-off commission for a collector or museum and not available to buy).

Ok, you're right, I'll be clearer in the future.
