    Hi Gells

I think the Marpat looks very good. Nice square edges, just like the real thing.

Thanks all for taking the time to comment.

    Hi Alex,
I drilled out the sling attachment and bent some brass rod into shape then threaded it throught the hole. Superglued the two ends of the rod onto the main strap.
The cable ties are just plastic strips..didn't take too much time to do....just a needed a bit of patience.

    Cheers,

    Gells

    Awesome work Grant.
It all looks right as you say.
Very tidy job here though not as tidy as your bench.... how do you do that. Mine always looks as though the USMC have have been on a manoeuvre over it.
    Top notch Mate,
    Regards,
    Keith

That is a superb bit of painting Gells, you are improving at a fast rate with every figure you do, cammo looks great and I like the battle weary face you craeted.

Have to agree with Keith though, that bench is WAY tooo tidy ;)

    All the best

Many thanks for all the comments.

It's not usually that tidy mate. The cutting mat is an A3 size there's probably about a quarter of that workable when a projects ongoing. You should see my carpet after I scooped everything off the table with my arm!:wideyed:

    Cheers,

    Great painting here.
I especially like the contrast between the real face and face of the dummy.
And the riffle butt (?) looks like real rubber to me.

Very nice job. Always thought there was something very creepy about that little fella in his pack. If Rod Serling has seen that we would have had an episode of Twilight Zone with him walking around the tent at night.

I like very much but if you had painted the metal jacket with camo I think the bust will pop up more.
    Great!

    Hi Gells,

Wonderful painting mate. The Marpat is understated as it should be, but so detailed. A real beauty.

Pedro. It's more common for the US Marines to wear the plain Brown Vest.
