Two years ago I had the same idea . Sculpting an (un)known person .
Unfortunately only known by the Belgian ( Flemish planeteers) and entered in a local competition .
    This year I'm back .
The scene shows a figure painter searching his way to the competition with his wooden box .
54 mm and scculpted using a mixture of green stuff and milliput .
The glasses were a chalenge to make . I used photo etched parts from buckles and straps .
As you can see the original wooden arrows were to large and not to scale so I had to redo them when the figure was finished .
Painted with acrylics and oils .

    Marc,
Wonderful figure. I'm particularly fond of civilian figures considerring them something of a specialty of mine, and a largely neglected topic.

    Thanks for posting.

I think I know who that is!!!

    Hi Marc,

That man looks a lot like Ramir Hereygers, or am I wrong? He will love it, comming weekend at the AMSS show. Great sculpt and great painting. BTW, you could have asked me for a couple of glasses as there are some include in some WWII PE sets, so you could (can?) always get one.

Congrats once again and I hope to see you this weekend,

    Gino

P.S. If I'm correct with who this man is, have I then won something?

    Hi Marc,

What a neat idea, looks like the typical modeller, should he not have on a beige waistcoat.:D
I'm sure I've stood behind this guy in the queue at Euro.

    Great sculpt.

    Cheers Ken

Hopefully there will be a picture of the subject holding the figure posted later on....

Be interesting to find out who it is.

If an Aussie version were to be done, well, he'd be wearing a singlet, shorts, thongs (Flip flops for you non-Aussies), with sun burn. (Too warm for beige waist coats - bloody colonials:D)

Still be toting a box full of kits.....

Still, a great idea, nice to see, one that I feel we don't see enough of

    Cheers

Very original piece Marc. It could have been titled, "Decisions, decisions. So many shows so little time".

    Marc,
I think you have done a great sculpting of our chairman of the board Ramir Hereygers.
He would be very honoured with this. Absolutely stunning.
Knowing that he is visiting all the place's you have made the sign he must be the guy.

Brian, do you come our way this weekend.

    Hi Marc
Unfortunately not as the shifts i work are a bit anti-social,so i don't get to all the shows i would like to.

Can only be our one and only Ramir with that shirt :D :D :D
All those options make him more crazy every year and nothing stops him to attend all of them.
Three cheers to Ramir ! He really lives for the hobby!
