VERY VERY NICE. As everyone has said, beautiful flesh tones with some outstanding transitions between the colours you have used.

    Hi Mark,

I'd like to praise your efforts at painting the hands. They are superb. The veins under the skin, the fingernails, the subtle changes in skin texture and colour: all excellent.:notworthy:

I don´t know if you agree Mark, but I see in that face the spirit of the Italian art of the XIV century. This favulous face painting reminds me the frescoes of Giotto. You really get the exact tone according to the middle age, a really gothic portrait. Absolute fantastic!

Amazing as always Mark , can't wait to see the rest of it come together , just one tiny thing maybe a bit more plaque and yellowing on the teeth as the kit shows some gum recession . These guys weren't known for their dental hygiene

Thank you all for the comments and input!

I have had this on the back burner while other projects were finished .... I was stuck on the best way to do that helmet .... so ....

Base colour is Silver Printers ink then once that was well dried I attacked it with lots of washes and filters of Burnt Sienna, Burnt Umber and Paynes Grey oil paints ...

Once dry I then added thin layers and dry brushes of the silver and silver mixed with Paynes Grey ... Dry again ....

Then I added more Paynes Grey ... once touch dry I buffed with a tissue...

Next I plan on picking out the rivets some more and adding a lot of bright silver scratches and the like ...

    :)

And once again thank you all!
