Gary , you're spot on. The basis was a Mike good figure to which I converted the trousers, added a scarf and binoculars and touched up the jacket. The groundwork is all scratch but.

    I LOVE it!!!
Dark blue is IMHO one of the hardest colours to paint, but you did perfectly (as the rest of the figure and base)

    Congrats!

    Stephen,
you-da-man! This is well done. A Mike Good piece is a great starting point. You took him up a notch! Nice work. The steel cable is VERY convincing!

    Hi Stephen,

I can't recall to have ever seen a figure on which the blue has been rendered as convincingly as you have achieved here. It's good to see you have restrained yourself with the highlights, something which is easily overdone with dark blue. Really lovely work!

Thank you guys. Since it seems that the blue coat is a favourite here's the mix. It's in acrylics so apologies for the oil guys and gals.

    Base: AV898 + Prussian blue (andrea) + AC19 + Black
    H/L : Base + AC59
    H/H/L: more Ac59
    L/L: base + black
    L/L/L : black

Note that the actual finish were obtained by control washes of the base and first L/L. This to ensure that the Highlights are subdued
