    Very nice treatment of the whites Arthur. Overall a well presented piece.
    I have a question though - I thought that the shields were leather-faced wood, so the only places for rust would be on the edges and any exposed studs & rivets?

    True about the rust, I was going more for stain from dark exposed wood than actual rust.
    In reality it is more brownish colour than orange/burnt sienna.
