Hi all, my latest putty pushing exercise, this has been an on and off project for a little too long.
    It's a 1:9 scale sculpt in magic sculpt/Duro.
When painted he'll be colourful to say the least,I have plans to cast this and add to my range,I hope you like it ...
    Best regards

Hi Paul. Great subject from a very colourful period and it looks like your off to a great start. I've recently completed the Mike Blank version from SK miniatures and loved the yellow and black colour scheme.

Hi Neal I was rather taken with Mikes (Gula) and I've not seen that many paired :-( but wanted my own version and the period is of interest, as said very colourful with a somewhat elaborate dress sense for war, many dislike yellow for painting but I'm keen to give this full attention.
    Thanks for looking and comment

Hi Paul, I like your enthusiasm, castings are a few weeks off.
It needs a darn good clean and make sure the silicone can find no hidden holes and a sealed coat
I will let everyone know when where and how
Thanks so much for your interest in my project.

I had to make a little adjustment by adding volume to the pelisse sleeves as they were too small!
Now done! (See pictures) and added a close up of the face
He's now at the casters (Mark Day of S2K) so I'll have a few castings by next week.....good times!

Good to see you back on the putty Paul.
Your skills are still there as sharp as ever pulling out a piece away from the usual suspects. He's a real corker and I am sure he will serve you well.

    Thanks Oda,

Cheers for the kind words Kieth,I took a break and a re-think about my work and skills. With one thing on my mind, a need to up my game and improve and that is still at the front of my mind.
I've hopefully found my improved mojo?

Mate you still have your eye on the ball. There is a school of thought that say looking at your work in a mirror is like looking at it for the first time.
You do not need to do that with this boy, he is a real cracker.
You must be well pleased with both him and your mojo.
    All the best

Hi Keith, your too kind mate!!
The one man band philosophy takes its toll i guess, inward looking all the time, I'm not a natural sculptor, self taught like so many out there.
The journey if you'd like to call Paul Blaber Miniatures that, its me and no one else so I try to improve all the time and offer something differant, the idea bucket is overflowing all the time so many get started and stay unfinished in a box, I never understood why D.F.Grieve took so long, as a long term mate, but I now fully understand he was on his own also after dad passed,so it was "write the theme tune, sing the theme tune" (please dont compare the skill set he is another level) and he never had a day job like me:(
If this chap is well recived I will complete the next "seven years war" bust I have? Along with the other subjects I've been sitting on in time.
As always thanks for your support and kindness!
Best Regards to you and your better half
