Some quick pics of this Alexandros bust as he gets packed tomorrow.

Quite a difficult piece to build this, and not the best casting. Some really terrible build up in areas and a fair number of pinholes you cant see till you start painting. Needed an awful lot of prep including mould lines and smoothing.

The ppsh comes in many parts and one side of the barrel guard was completely miscast...but great customer service was provided and a replacement was sent quickly by Alexandros Models.

You needed to get the arms, right hand, magazine and weapon all lined up to fit which was a nightmare...four separate pieces to hold in the exact position waiting for the glue to dry. Then the weapon strap had to be softened and shaped only to be discovered it doesn't even fit between the mag pouch and the arm so the end had to be cut and thinned......I cut the wrong end as prove that a large amount of concentration needed.....and not because I was angry in any way.

    See what you think.

Grand job Grant, but in view of what you've written I think I'll give this one a swerve (I'd been admiring it from afar and pondering a purchase for a while). Call me lazy but my days of fighting a kit to get a half-decent result are gone, painting time is too short as it is!
