Hi finished the sculpt of this bust couple of months back and this is a resin copy of the original.

Managed to paint him over the last few weeks on and off and put the final touches to him last night.

Flesh and leather shawl painted in oils, rest acrylics.

    All comments and critique welcome,

    Steve(y)

    Hello Matey. . .

    Hi Steve:

Wow, Mr. Crowe sure looks so impressive in these pictures. I like your
choice of colours, mate. And a lovely piece of sculpting . . . it really does
look like Russell Crowe as Robin Hood.

Wow, mate, it is hard to believe there have been so many years pass since
Gladiator, when Crowe was so much younger. Ah . . .weren't we all! :)

I saw the Robin Hood movie, and enjoyed it a great deal. Kate Blanchette(sp)
is a marvelous actress, IMHO. I am particularly impressed with your
skillful way of replicating that pattern in his chest armor and on
    that left forearm leather piece.

A very nice presentation with lovely photographs.

    Congratulations, Steve,

    Rick

    Hi Steve,

You've captured an excellent likeness of Rus. I'd like to see you add a string to the bow though.

You did an excellent paint job on your sculpture!
A piece to be proud off.
When I start painting again I hope to make a start on this one also.

    Steve,

You did a superb job on this! The subtle highlighting on the tunic sleeves particularly stands out for me.

    Cheers,

Steve, excellent sculpting and painting, especially like the detail work on the forearm and the great likeness you've achieved. Congrats mate. (y)
Any chance this might go commercial.

    Cheers Ken

Thanks everyone for your possitive feedback on the bust, there are things i can see could be better with the painting but i think there is more practice needed.

Ken.. he will not be cast comercially mate, dont think Russell Crowe will be happy with that :)
