I had a good close look at this one at Poole last Saturday.
The photos, while good, do not do it full justice.
The extra work that you've put into it has really paid off and it's easily your best work to date Kevin.
Looking forward to seeing it in its complete state.

    Cheers,
    Andrew

Getting better and better. It looks really great, perfect work. Painting the structure of leather is really awesome. Great thread. And great guide and historical documents. :) Good job :)

PS Tempted to add a GR to the front of headwear ..what do you guys think ?

You should add KP to the front.

    Looks great Kev.

Do you have any refs for them having GR on the cap front?

If not I'd leave it as it is.

Watching this WIP I have remembered to have a figure in 28 mm that could be him ... I then pulled out of the drawer and I primed.

waiting for the paint to dry, I looked for pictures and of course I found this.

    Robert Rogers.jpeg

Now the question is this, considering that the painting is trusted ... which version do? green or blue?

Sorry if I invade your discussion

and sorry for my english ... google traslate

    Hi Jai

Not a problem , that's the first picture I saw ..........the decision is yours ! ...but think I woukd prefer wearing green in the forests !

There is more chance of me marrying my ex wife than changing my version ..lol

    Happy painting ...green or blue

Mick ...definately a colour blind artist or publisher !...lol

Yes, yes and yes again and for good measure, even if it isn't historically accurate, it also needs Nec Aspera Terrent on the front.
I also think you should buy another one and paint it blue!
