    Hi Marc,

Excellent paint work on your roman mate. The stencils certainly seem to have been helpful.

Mark and Tony thank you so much for the kind words.
Tony, i can only say that the stencils are a must have for those who find it difficult to paint heraldy or something equal. The goal to paint heraldy o.s.e. is allot easyer with them.

Keep painting my friend!!! A very nice job indeed and the lenghts you went to, to hollow the helmet and fit it on the head, just shows your dedication to create something unique out of a commercial piece!!!!

    Keep them coming..........

Excellent artifice to introduce figures with the helmet in head; in fact it is true, the head is too much small regarding the entire subject, and to mount it with the head knot would have rendered figures somewhat deformed.
About the frieze of the shield, are you documented in order to frame it, like place and period, in one effective legion?
In Italy, many model-makers acclimatize figure on the snow (Britannia, Germany) and then they paint the shield with frieze of one legion in Egypt!

    Ken thank you very much.
I post every figure that i finished here on the forum. The first years when i was painting i paint 1 figure a month. At the moment i paint one figure in 2 - 3 months. And i paint every evening 1 - 3 hours...
So, when the figures getting better that's because the process get slower.:D:D

No, i pickid it up from the boxart. Maybe it's wrong i don't know, but i like it.
I know that. But why it couldn't be autumn ?? I have already figures with snow. That's why i choose autumn with the leaves, falling tree. Something different and the coat will help him to get warm on a foggy cold autumn day.

Good to see some more of your work Marc.I had this figure and sold it on because of the head, wish I had kept it now and reworked it with the helmet.

Marc, was not one critical to your job (I don't criticize never the jobs of nobody under the sculptural and pictorial aspect, I only refer to the uniformologic aspect), indeed I have appreciated the modification in order to cover the small head! my curiosity was one, because I never do not trust myself box art (often the personalizations of the painters) and try always the sources I originate them in order to realize my little figures.
For example, the box-art says, generically, "I century AD"! what means "I century AD"? the first century comprises 100 years and the armament and the equipment of the 2 AD is different from that one of the 99 AD, also like war zones; a roman soldier in Numidia did not dress like one a roman soldier in Britannia!

    David,
Thanks for your comment. I bought this figure from somebody who has thinned the ranks of his grey army.
It's a pitty that you sold it, you really could get fine hours painting it.

    Robert,
I know that you critisice my little effort on this figure. I consider it also as educating positive comment. Never have a problem with that.
If i paint a figure i'll try to get much information as i can. But for the R I there is so much that i cannot see the wood trough the trees.
So i decided (maybe wrong) to paint it as the box art.

But again, thanks for your positive comment. I can do my benefit with it.
