The latest finished figures off my workbench , this chap represents a hatman from one of the Line Regiments ( later the 14th Foot, later still the Prince of Wales' Own West Yorks ) present at Culloden in April 1746.
All scratchbuilt on a slightly shortened articulated commercial body.
The clothing is brushed cotton , the buff leather is goatskin, and all the brasswork was specially cast to my patterns in Birmingham . He's fully poseable, and everything works as near as can be .

Price's were in the centre of the frontline, and were not actually contacted by the Jacobite charge. They fired a couple of volleys , and had nine wounded , probably from artillery fire and stray shots.
Apparently the weather was not good, so the coats were worn buttoned with the skirts down.

Making the heads for these large figures is an endlessly maddening business : it has to be just right, This is the third go that I have had for this figure, and now I'm happy.

Top drawer in every way Tony. Depicting the "wrong side" of the conflict perhaps ;) , but wonderfully done.

This piece deserves a heck of a lot more attention and praise. If I could double "like" it I would.
