Well, while the tree is shakin,' I'll throw another artist out there. But this one also has a twist. Oleg Parkhaev is a Russian artist who has several published works (unfortunately in Russian) of uniform plates. Where the battle scenes come from I have no clue. Date of birth unknown. Place of birth unknown. Russia, Cossack Hetman by Parkhaev (2).jpg Polish infantry encounter Russian grenadiers by Oleg Parkhaev (2).jpg Russians advance by Oleg Parkhaev (2).jpg

I am looking for any and I mean any biographical information on this artist.

Thank you, Martin of Bremen. I am surprised that Parkhaev is a contemporary artist. One would not know it from looking at his work. Beautiful. Once again thank you brother!

That was relatively easy, so let's try again. Here are three images by another Russian artist - Sergai Letin. He died in 2005. Other than that I know nothing other than he illustrated a work by a historian who went on to murder his girlfriend. Who said history was boring? Any biographical infomation would be helpful on this wonderful artist who is not on the list yet.

Anyone who, in addition to figures, is also involved in plastic model building and knows the kits from the Ukrainian company "Roden" has certainly held a pack in their hands that bears his box art:

Born in 1963, Ukrainian artist Walerij Grygorenko did almost all of the boxart for "Roden" - and his style was distinctive and outstanding. He also worked as a freelance illustrator.

I came across this painting in Richie's post "An idea for you WW1 modelling buffs".

The Last Farewell.jpeg and was intrigued by who the painter was.

I fed the name 'Nance' into Google, and eventually came across Dan Nance, who was absent from the listing.
The painting is called "The Last Farewell".

Here are some more of his works:-

You can find "The last Farewell" HERE. Just click on 'DAN NANCE' in the top left corner to take you to many of his paintings.
You can also find another site HERE for more views of his paintings.

I have been extending the Index Page spreadsheet (containing the links for each Artist entry) by adding columns to cover the links.
Detaille has been so popular with you all that he's moved the sheet to 7 columns.
I've decided to leave the Index at the 7 column stage; and simple add a second line for Detaille marked "Extended Links".
The following indicate the before and after:-

    A-and-I.jpg A-and-I - Detaille.jpg
Click on the image for a larger view.

For anyone who does not know how to access the list with all the links for individual Artists, simply click on the "Sub-Forums and select the Index Page, or simply click on the "Index Page directly below "Artists & Illustrators":-
