Painting Silver Lace using NMM

    Nice Kev (Seen it before in a magazine, but nice to have it edited into just the images and relevant text);)

    I've still not quite managed to get the effect in the photo's personally, but I'll keep pluggin' away till I get it right. One thing I have read is that a slight greenish tinge to the grey helps it look like 'old metallic lace' rather than the new stuff which is synthetic. In ye olden days the lace wouldn't have stayed bright for long and was much duller than the modern version seen on uniforms today after a few months in the field.
