Night Witch from BROM

So, this figure is inspired by some work of BROM, one of my favorite painters (he has a real creepy style, exactly what I am looking for!), it is some kind of night witch and halfway finished. Interestingly not so much detail is given on her clothes. The only thing I am not quite satisfied with is the hand with the long fingers and nails. It looks a bit poor and will be redone.

But for now I am surprised how quick this comes along (maybe too quick, look at the hand... ), but all in all it will maybe look interesting when finished. When the rest is done, the painting scheme will only be done in black, white and greytones.

Frank, I'm a Brom fan myself and having his books makes one want to do a 3D representation of one of his paintings. He's got a destinictive painting style and has many imatators.~Gary

    Thanks Guys!

Gary, the two Brom Books I have (I guess these are all...) are under the best Artbooks available. I will do some more sculpts of his stuff in my "miniscale" and love his work mucho!!

Frank, After the figure is done the real challange begins when you paint the miniature to match Brom's style of painting.~Gary

Gary, gulp, this IS the challenge!!

Paint it like the picture (sure, I will use only the blacks, whites and all in between), or do it the classic painting way... But this is definitly a good idea... We will see, when it is finished.

    Thanks for your Inspiration, Dude!

Thanks, Jacek! Brom has a very unique detailed and inspirational style! I know there are two (?) or three Kits out of his paintings (Gazell, Miss Muffit and The Grafter), but except the Gazell I for myself think they are not sooo good. The Gazell looks very amazing!!

And to sculpt such stuff in my small scale (up to 120mm, thats it) is big fun!

    Thanks for looking!

    Frank
