Also on the bench ...and looking so much better than these pics!!!!!! ...a sculpt by Fex for MMM .....some area's are a little rough but rugged .....an interesting character who was full of controversy ..a soldiers soldier and a leader of men from the front

The flesh tones look so much better in the flesh so to speak ...eyes to be done !!!...finished the glengarry now as well ...just the badge to do in NMM , then the graying hair , then the uniform colour ( a very dark green)the collar dogs and the epaulettes ..all NMM as well ...then the medals ....only 7 to do ...and a MID ...will really come together once the epaulettes are done ...hopefully .

Hi Guys ,

Worked a bit on the uniform colour ...a very dark green , will revisit it again , didn't do the badge headed for the medals ...started on the ribbons ..lots to do but its a start and adding more colour to the piece...................still to do the eyes!!

Update :

Ribbons all done now after nearly 2 1/2 hours last night (inbetween Masterchef ) ...still to do the clasps and the MID and ofcourse the medals themselves .......

Hi Guys ,

Here is a couple of pics showing(hopefully) the ribbons and the medals ....had to repaint the British Korea medal as I had the colour wrong (3rd from the right) ......noticed after I finished ......its my age you know !!!!!

Onwards and upwards to the badge now and epaulettes and buttons and eyes !!!!

Then a final check ...will it be finished for the Poole show ..I doubt it !!!!

Just a quick update ...epaulettes nearly finished ...the pip and crown still to do and of course the buttons, collar badges and the cap badge and backing.............

Then I will look at the uniform colour and the glengarry again ...just to confirm then ....after this one a Napoleonic General ...only 1 medal though ...at the moment!!!

A bit of an update ...collar badges done , ribbons on the Glengarry done ...still to do (badge...working on this now!!!) the pip and crown and the buttons ...sign this off , and base up .
