Step one.:
The horse is put together and primed.
For the primer I used automobile gray primer,very inexpensive , it costs only $2.50 per can, it works great.








Step two:
I undercoated the horse with Liquitex Burnt Umber acrylic to which I added a little
bit of Black.





If you are wondering where the tail is, the truth of the matter is that this breed of horse has no tail... :lol: :lol:
Just kidding, I decided to glue the tail last.

Nice work so far Roc. Just one question. Is nt going to be a bit risky to handle the horse once painted for making up this belly hole after you finish working with it . I mean isnt there any chance of fading some paint ?

Hi Rocco!No tail?But how does it keeps away the flies?Ok,you've chosen my favorite color for a horse,but the most difficult(your brave man!).

A question:Why and how did you use this king of tool to hold your figure while painting it?Ok,of course you do not have to touch the figure with your hand from now on,because the paint will get glossy due to the fat layer on your hand(and I've never seen a glossy horse...)but did you make a hole on the belly of the horse?If yes,how are you going to fill it later?

The no tail reminds me when i was a wee boy.My Granny told me never to pick up a Guinea Pig by it's tail ,as it's eyes would fall out,and i believed her for years

Ciostas, filling the hole in the belly is not very difficult, just a little A+B epoxy putty, thinly spresd out around the hole.
I've been painting horses uses this technique for years, so far I never had a problem, thank God.,

With out a tail it's very difficult for the horse to keep away the flies, the horse I'm sure will inplore the Samurai to help with his fan. :lol: :lol:

I drilled a hole with an electric drill, than I attached the drill to an ezacto handle.
