My craft-week starts with a mishap!

As I want to remove the pistol from her “work-cork” the toothpick breaks promptly!



So iIhad to use my "Proxxon"...:



For holding the little thing I put on my restorers-glove to avoid fingerprints and sweat. Sorry - the glove was ever cleaner..:



I was successful!

The site is now even more (not really necessary, you will not see it later!) painted with black ...:




Then the mounting pin is reduced a bit, and with a small drop of two-component adhesive attached to the bust and fixed for 30 minutes ....:




Well - now Ivan Sirko is still headless - but well armed ...:







At the very end, I have realized the advice of a friend and repainted the brass-spring at the lock into a iron-/steel-spring..:



So far for today...

And now - the Nagaika whip!

I wanted to paint it like the Original...



…if it is possible and I get enough contrast to the shirt of our hero.

I tried it but I painted today by precaution only the handle. The color-tone that I have chosen is the model very similar to the Original..:





It consists of these colors ...:



I think it can stand with the shirt..:

After seeing that pistol and the nagaika I'm going to throw my zapo bust into the trash can..That's what I think!

Please take another look at the pictures from yesterday again!

The wrist strap of Nagaika whip looks like sh…!

That thing is too small - a scale imaginary hand would not fit through there, the thing is too two-dimensional (the disadvantage of champagne bottle foil) and the thing "falls" in a completely unnatural angle.

So I decided today to make a new wrist strap, now as a "cord", for I will now show a braided leather strap. The scale size matches now!

The "cord" I do not have this time made ​​out of FIMO "baked", but from Milliput.

That brings in this case the advantage that I could attach the "cord" in a soft state, it hangs during curing to right and after curing it “falls” in a natural angle.

Quite fiddly job the whole thing - but in effect to a real improvement, I think ...:
