    Hello everyone,
I truly hope that you are all well and you have had both vaccinations by now.
Even with the pandemic and the stay-at-home orders and the many shut downs that we have had here in Ontario, it has still taken me some time to get the diorama to this stage.
I don't know where the time went. I was busy everyday, but not working on the diorama.
The British RHA figures are now complete. The cannon and limber have been "harnessed up" and
all have been mounted onto the ground work.
I have attached (hopefully) some photos of the WIP to date.
Tomorrow I will start to paint the Chasseurs' horses, then onto the riders, then attaching equipment and finally assembling the whole thing.
    Stay well everyone.
    Thanks!
    Auggie.

Great work on this so far... here's the reference sheet #641 needed per your PM... which regiment and uniform style did you have in mind for the Chasseurs?

Great, to see this project again and how you have evolved it.
I especially like how you have posed the figures.

Thank you very much Max for the scans of sheet #641.
The diorama is modelled after a painting by Keith Roco, or maybe it's Rocco, called "The Pursuit".
The painting depicts Ramsay's 2 RHA batteries being chased by the 7th, 13th and 20th regiments of Chasseurs
at the Battle of Fuentes d'Orono, Spain, May 5, 1811.
In the painting the Chasseurs shown are wearing the short tails; kinski style coat in dark green with orange facings, making them the 13th regiment.
I added the 'drama' of the limber hitting some rocks and bouncing the gunner off the seat.
I'm still undecided about adding one more figure. An officer of the RHA turning to face the oncoming Chasseurs.
    Maybe, always time, .......
Thanks again for all the encouraging comments fellas.
    Cheers!

Auggie, congratulations on your diorama being awarded "Photo of the month" honours for November, well done indeed. Incidentally, one of my ancestors was at the Battle of Fuentes de Oñoro, in the 88th Regiment of Foot (Connaught Rangers), his Military General Service Medal (with eleven clasps) is at the National Army Museum in London, I'll PM the link to you.

Thank you for those kind words.
These days I'm working on some small vignettes using Flat figures (zinnfiguren).
    Wow!
I thought that 54 mm plastic figures were tough? Flats are crazy to paint.
Stay well gentlemen and thanks again.
