    with the release of more of more of the former cromwell miniatures acw range by milminwh I thought you may interested in a vignette of cromwell's confederate cavalry I did a little while ago.

    Yes Gary I have both of Trioani's acw books, they have been a source of inspiration of many of my figures. Although in this particular instance it was the story of the 35th battalion of virginian cavalry at the battle of Brandy Station accompanying the painting rather than the painting it'self which gave rise to the title of this piece.
    I'm currently working on another figure inspired by another Trioani painting, that of the 2nd US cavalry trumpeter but in more of an action pose utilising the galloping horse by merklein
