    Hello Folks
This is the first of a four figure vignette utilising 120mm figures from my Defending the Colours set. This one is of a line infantry grenadier company sergeant wearing the bearskin cap instead of the usual shako.

Nice one Gordon. Now you have the Diehards and the Colours sets there is scope for several variations of British Napoleonic figures.

There is certainly a lot of scope for conversion in your range (y)

Just noticed the 28 on the backpack. Wasn't there an action where the regiment (28th Gloucesters) was attacked from front and rear, Alexandria 1801? Wasn't this commemerated in a badge on the front and back of their shakos?. This was depicted in kits released by AQM in the late70's/early 80's.

Spot on, as usual, Geoff. Alexandria 1801 where the regiment rear rank about turned to face Johnny Frenchman who was attacking from both sides which earned them the right to wear a badge on the rear of their head gear. AQM did a great little 8 man vignette in 80mm which may be re-released by Foxwood miniatures in the future.

The diorama I am doing will be based on this action. I've just received a new figure this morning which is an addition for the Defending the colours set and is a cracker(But I would say that) superbly sculpted by Pete Morton. I am assembling it at the moment and will post details on PF soon.

I'm pretty poor at conversions so I hope to introduce some parts suitable for simple conversion to acommodate other modellers in the same boat.
    Regards
    Gordon
