New, just published in Japan a retrospective book of the work of one of the greatest boxart illustrators, Ron VOLSTAD
"Ron Volstad Box Art Complete Collection of Military Figures Dragon Illustration"
    --Armor Modeling [edition.]
    --A4 size soft cover
    --Page 224
    --Full color
    --Size/Weight : 29.8 x 21 x 1.4 cm / 825g
A true bible, this book contains all the illustrations made for the Dragon firm of the boxarts of the figurine boxes.
All the illustrations, with a small photo of the assembled miniatures, an illustrated description of the novelties of the set, the illustrations of the versions of these boxes (photos a bit small in my opinion)
The illustrations are not limited to only 1/35° but also include illustrations of plastic figurines in other scales (1/16°)
    Great job highly recommended
    A few minor flaws:
First the size of some illustrations, really too small (the variants of the kits)
Text in Japanese with really the minimum in English.
But as it is above all an illustration book, the harm is not very great.
Then the price, excessive on a certain online sales site
    The best price being on:

Excellent..for anyone interested in aviation, there is a good you tube series by Mike Machat on aviation box art…many of us were drawn to scale modelling first as kids when box art was the imaginative trigger

Fantastic idea, all the box art in one book rather than trying to collect the box art from the kits.... will keep an eye out for this one..

The total price including shipping rates to Germany is about 55 Euro. Fortunately I collected the boxarts from the kits back then - very good ideas about weathering and facial expressions.

    Hi ZC

Thanks for sharing the details , ideal to have these all in one cover and a nice tribute to the artists
