    Hi all,

    for a good friend and customer of mine I'm painting this English knight at Agincourt 1415. His armour and scalemail is finished. I saw some imperfections on the pictures around the eyes, so I'll need to correct this.

    All comments are appreciated.

    Gino.

    Hey Gino,

    Nice job on the armor. I also like the red hair. Did you ever see the one that Mike Blank did? Are you going to muddy him up?

    Hi Gino.

    I especially like the armour - was this the polished metal of the kit?
    Glad to see you're painting

    Hi guys,

    thanks a lot for the comments.

    @Joe,

    Yes, I remember seeing an article of it in Military Modelling. I'm going trough my collection of MM's to find it back. I'll probably find it when the figure is finished. Yes, he's going to be muudied up, the lower part of the legs that is. He will be at the battlefield with a French shield at his feet.

    @Rob,

    The metal look was very simple to achieve. I first polished the metal of the figure to a high sheen. Next I placed three well dilluted coats of Tamiya Smoke over it. Highlighting was then done with Vallejo super silver and shading with pure black. Extra high highlights were done with silver powder, deep shading with Mig Gunsmoke Black pigments.

    @Robert,

    at this pic the hair is just basecoated. I need to paint the highlights and shadows. The colour of the moustache, goatie and eyebrows will be slightly different as often seen in real life.

    Greetz,

    Gino.

    Hey Gino,

    Just to help ;) It is MM Vol 26 No 5 May 1996 page 37. On the cover is a Fort Royal Review Highland Light Inf. Boer War. He is firing his pistol.

    I hope this helps and I look forward to seeing more of him.

    Hi Joe,

    This helps a lot. I have them filled in chronlogical order. This way I don't need to go trough all of them. Thanks a million. ;)

    Greetz,

    Gino.

    Hi guys,

    by now the face and hair are done and the surcoat is basecoated. I have used new settings on my camera, so I hope the pictures are of better quality?

    All remarks are welcome.

    Greetz,

    Gino.

    Hi guys,

    Yesterday the biggest part of one of my front teeth decide to leave my mouth. As a result I have spent the night at the dentist. he did a GREAT job. Women will start falling at my feet again when they see my magical smile (dream on Gino). Anyway, I didn't feel like playing around with my paints, so here are some pics. The white part of the tunic is highlighted and shaded once, the dark red/brown is the basecolour for red. I hope that by using this dark colour as my base I will be able to use pure red for high highlights, so I won't have to mix yellow or white to my red and thus obtaining pure red instead of red looking orange or rose. If this will work or not, I hope to show you within a couple of days.

    As Always, I would love to hear your comments.

    Greetz.

    Hi all,

    this figure is about to be ready. I only need to do some details (I LOVE to paint those) and I'll try to incorporate a shield of a french knight in the groundwork. Normally there will be pics here of the finished figure by the end of this week, beginning next one.

    Please let me know what you think of it so far.

    Greetz,

    Gino

    Gino-

    Nice work on the red hair. Well done.

    The only item that I would point out to you is the brown, segmented belt. It does no appear to have been highlighted or shadowed. Is this one of the details you need to finish?

    Also, I like the work on the plate armor.

    Keith
