Completed Dr Johnson (Phoenix Miniatures conversion - 1/32)

    Hello all. Here's a pic of a figure I finished over the weekend.

    It's a depiction of the English writer Samuel Johnson (1709-1784).

    The figure is from Phoenix Miniatures' Georgian range - I modified the face slightly and changed the wig.

    Hope you like it!

    Always liked Tim Richards' Phoenix stuff (that is all apart from his 'Atlantis'
    and 'Phollies' nonsense).... this one is terrific. Bravo !

    Amazing likeness to Reynold's portrait! Fun to do something completely different. I'm reading "The Club" about Johnson, Boswell and the luminaries around them - so especially enjoying seeing this piece. I confess I knew nothing about him before starting the book.
