    Hi Guys

This is a little piece I have been working on, it goes along with a previous piece the Ringmaster and the Acrobat, Figure is a conversion of the the Mechanic from Modelcellar, with the adjusted Billy Bishop head, new hairline and no moustache. From the brilliant hands of Mike Good, the camera, is based on a 1903 home made camera I found pictures and measurements of, on the net. Scratch made from a block or resin and bits and pieces from WW1 aircraft brass etch sheets, plastic rod for the tripod with other little bits of twisted fine wire and stuff to finish off. its a simple little piece and I hope it compliments the other vignette. I hope to have it finished for the MFCA.

let me know what you think

    Saved on Celuloid. . .

    Dave:

You said that part of this was from a Model Cellar figure??? So I am
presuming this is a 1:16th or 120mm figure??? I'm sorry I can't keep up with
all you guys who know all the figure releases, and the scales of each
release. For me, knowing the scale of the figure right from the start, really
does help this old man understand just what I am looking at.

Really very nice figure, and the box camera is just superb. Well done,

    Jaybird

    A good, simple little figure.

Camera and tripod look realistic, and the technology used would seem to match the era - we are talking about glass plate pictures, aren't we?

Figure is nice, simple, a mechanic doing a bit of work, or perhaps tending the camera while the photographer poses his subjects.

Mind you, it could also be one of the early photo journalists, taking a picture of some American scene, with his old overalls to protect him from the chill/ cool air while he scrambles across the terrain.....

The attached image explain better what I am trying to say,.... just switch for winter for the fellow with the mountain backdrop.

    Cheers

    Outstanding craftmanship!

And I am sure the conversion head will belong better to this beautifully sculpted body once painted.
